Available 2011 CR-Z trim and Colour for Canada & USA

I saw and spoke to a Honda Canada product consultant/rep (forget his exact title) - reponsible for selecting features on Honda cars for Canadian market and this is what I got:

Honda Canada will only have one trim level - CR-Z EX (NO NAVI available in Canada)
Available in both 6-speed manual and CVT automatic
Price in Canada is "in the low-20's"

Honda Canada CR-Z EX will only be available in 3 colours:
White - Premium White Pearl
Grey - Dark Pewter Metallic ***
Blue- Horizon Turquoise Pearl

*** NOTE: The Honda Canada Product Consultant/Rep told me the colours available are "White, Grey and Blue". Now "Grey" is,... well, a "gray" area! He did not specifically say "Dark Pewter Metallic" or "Storm Silver Metallic". Both available in Japan. Both look grey,... one light grey silver (Storm Silver Metallic) and the other dark grey (Dark Pewter Metallic). Anyways,... thinking if he meant Silver he would have said Silver instead of Grey,... I'm assuming grey means Dark Pewter Metallic. Especially since Honda Canada will not be selling the Black one and already has White.

Honda Canada only expect to sell about 1,000 CRZ EX in first year,.. and 500/year in following years. Not a big market for 2-seaters. And rear seat didn't really do all that great in European crash test.

Non-navi radio is not standard double DIN. Honda Canada will NOT have Navi model, thus Canadian who wants to replace non-NAVI radio with standard aftermarket navi will need to do it on their own. Get standard double DIN Navi faceplate-bracket from USA dealer. Canadian dealer won't have them since Honda Canada doesn't have any CR-Z with NAVI

Honda USA will have 3 trim levels - CR-Z, CR-Z EX & CR-Z EX with NAVI
All trim level available in both 6-speed manual and CVT automatic

Honda USA CR-Z will be available in 5 colours: White, Grey, Blue, Red and Black
White - Premium White Pearl
Grey - Dark Pewter Metallic ***
Blue- Horizon Turquoise Pearl
Red - Milano Red
Black - Crystal Black Pearl

NOTE: All colour may not be available in all trim

*** NOTE: The Honda Canada Product Consultant/Rep told me the colours available in USA will be same as in Canada plus "Red and Black". Please note assumption I made about "Grey" above in the Honda Canada colour section.

Thus for now, two colours of the 7 colours available in Japan will not make it to Canada and the USA. These two colours are:
Orange - Brilliant Orange Metallic
Silver - Storm Silver Metallic *** See notes above

Drove off the lot of Vic Bailey Honda in Spartanburg SC yesterday with a CR-Z EX Manual Trans in Crystal Black Pearl! It was the only black/manual trans I could find in a 100 mile radius. The other colors look like they're "smiling" in the front. The black just blends all in.
As I was finalizing the paperwork a dude came in asking about "my" car. He was heartbroken that it had been sold to me. They offered him the same color in the CVT but he just shook his head and walked out.. I got there early Saturday morning...

Honda had an Event in New York City Times Square. l was not able to make it l was working late that date but l drove to Times Square and l spoke to few people that attended the event and commented that the Milano Red really look nice. There are YouTube videos on that event.

Canadians have a colour choice of white, blue or silver.

I'm from Canada and I want it in black sooooooo bad!!!!!
Why they don't sell it in black in Canada? And where is the red one come from if there are only white, blue and silver???
Anyone knows if the black one will be available maybe next year?
